The East is Red

The first installment of a column I'm now writing for FearZone went up tonight. The column, entitled "The East is Red", will be a monthly examination of horror films (and maybe occasionally literature or manga) from all over Asia, including (of course!) Japan, Hong Kong, mainland China, and even India.

Installment #1 takes a look at several recent Chinese/Hong Kong ghost films, including the megahit remake PAINTED SKIN (which I liked a lot). Click on over to http://www.fearzone.com and give it a spin.

Next month I'll take a look at the DEATHNOTE phenomenon from Japan, including the three movies, the manga and the anime. Hint: I love 'em.
