Happy Thanksgiving! I think it's important today to take the time to give thanks for a few of the small things:

- I'm thankful that the creepy looking guy who came into the store last night about 7 and looked exactly as if he was casing the joint didn't come back with a gun.

- I'm thankful that I got through the first three weeks of November without a sinus headache (the weather changes of this last week are killin' me, though).

- I'm thankful that I'm finally caught up on my laundry (good thing, too, since I'm out of quarters!)

- I'm thankful that I finally finished paying off the vet bills for my cat who died in June.

- I'm thankful that the homeless guy who likes to crap in the store's parking lot hasn't done it in a week.

- I'm thankful that the recent elections proved most of the voters are no longer racist. Homophobic as hell, yes...but not racist!

- I'm thankful that I've finally acquired the discipline to stop reading bad books after a few pages (and I've stopped a LOT recently...).

- I'm thankful that I won't be here this afternoon, when the downstairs neighbors will undoubtedly cook up a particularly huge portion of something we've dubbed "Rotted Corpse Foot Stew", and I'll be even more thankful if our apartment isn't filled with their stench by the time we come back.

There, see? There's always something to be thankful for!
