The year in writing

Like leethomas, you can stick me with a fork because I'm done writing for the year. Here's a recap of what I managed to churn out in 2006:

Two novels:
Netherworld (started in 2005) - currently under submission to an agent
The Castle of Los Angeles - currently under submission to a small press publisher

One novella:
The Lucid Dreaming (based on an old short story) - can't decide what to do with it

Five short stories:
"The Devil Came to Mamie's on Hallowe'en" - currently under submission to The Red Light District
"La Japonesa" - currently under submission to The Mammoth Book of Monsters
"The Last Resort" - sold to Hot Blood 13
"The Maenads" - to appear in the Vault of Punk Horror project
"Mr. Hop in WongTown" - currently under submission to Summer Chills

Also polished up a few older pieces for re-submission.

And assorted bits of flash fiction, film reviews, and of course blog entries.

Also had a few things come out this year, most notably "Sparks Fly Upward" in Mondo Zombie, "Tested" in Cemetery Dance #55, and "Acts of Darkness: Writing Horror for the Stage" from On Writing Horror

And some very bad films played Scifi Channel, Showtime and SpikeTV. Woohoo.
