'Tis the Season

You know what season I'm talkin' about, right? Yep, you got it - Stoker season! So, since it's that time of year, I'm gonna wade right into the morass and stump with everyone else...

...for my pal John Palisano's short story "The Haven". Although this is the first Palisano to see print, I've been lucky enough to have read John's work for years, and he's an extraordinary and unique voice. A lot of you may know his story - years of trying and hundreds of rejections, but during that time he worked and polished and focused and persevered, and I'm so thrilled that he's now selling almost as fast as he can write.

"The Haven", which appears in Horror Library Volume 3, is, like most of John's work, full of sly humor, an uncomfortable world vision and a strangely hopeful ending. There's a reason it's racking up Stoker recommendations - it's that good. If you're a voter and you haven't read it yet, you can contact me and I'll get you set up.

I envy those of you reading Palisano for the first time, and I'm betting it won't be the last.
